Is my doctor included in my health insurance?

Is dental cover included?
Most local health insurance companies in Mallorca include basic dental care, such as annual check-ups, simple extractions, treatment of the oral mucosa, fluoride applications, and basic X-rays. For more extensive treatments, you’ll get special reduced prices. If you want comprehensive dental coverage, we can recommend insurers with higher-tier health plans that include more advanced dental services.
Are yearly preventive check-ups covered?
Yes, many preventive check-ups are included automatically. Some more advanced screenings may need pre-authorization from your insurer and a doctor’s prescription to confirm the medical need.
Can I keep my doctor from another country?
With reimbursement-based policies, you can visit doctors worldwide. Just submit the invoice, and depending on your coverage, you might be reimbursed up to 100%*.
*It depends of your plan. Seippel & Seippel can offer you national plans, Europe-wide plans, plans that cover Spain + home country and international plans. Depending on your plan there is a daily or specialist sublimit, and some plans have 80%, others 90% and some 100% reimbursement rate.
What is not included in a health insurance?
Cosmetic procedures or experimental treatments are typically not covered, unless explicitly included in your policy. We’ll help you choose a plan that matches your needs.
